Well my facebook has always sent me notifications through email. It’s just much more convenient for me. But it’s stopped and I have no idea why. The option that makes facebook send email notifications is still on.
I’ve no clue what to do.

Facebook seems to be changing things on their site more frequently than not these days, including preferences by users, etc. After you log in next time, click on the “Settings” option, go through the categories and reset what you had last time. Don’t forget to save your new settings for current and future visits and notifications when finished. Also, check and update them periodically. Happy surfing!
It happens sometimes. Just go to notifications and check out whether there is tick mark on notifications or not. If yes then remove tick mark and then again tick mark.
