Is the problem with Ron Paul. his supporters?
After spamming YA! for months they’ve finally begun spamming our email! I seriously doubt this is something Ron Paul himself is aware of or would much less condone. While I myself like Ron Paul and if I were a Republican he would be my second choice after John McCain (a true American Hero) I realize that the Republicans simply lack a candidate with any charisma… so the Ron Paul crowd think if only the populace knew of his platform they would also support him. THE PROBLEM WITH RON PAUL IS HIS SUPPORTERS… they’re obnoxious!

Spammer Plugs Ron Paul for President

BUCHAREST, Romania–(BUSINESS WIRE)–BitDefender®, an award-winning provider of antivirus software and data security solutions, today found that a large wave of unsolicited e-mails exhorting the qualities of Ron Paul as a candidate for the U.S. presidency are being captured by BitDefender spam filters.
The spam e-mails originate from many different computers, with a wide geographical distribution, making BitDefender specialists suspect that the spammer is using a “bot” network for his “run.”
The e-mails appear to have false “To:” fields – a hallmark of spam – making it highly unlikely that this is part of a legitimate campaign.
“We haven’t observed any previous cases of using spam to try and influence a presidential campaign, in the USA or elsewhere,” declared Vlad Valceanu, head of BitDefender’s antispam unit. “It remains to be seen what impact (if any) this incident has on the outcome of the election, but it’s certainly a worrying incident, as people of other political inclinations may feel compelled to counter with some spam of their own.

They also like to hit the report button when you point that out to them too.
They are passionate for change, it truly is passion, rather than say “judgment” like anti-abortionists…
There is a group of young people that can see through the propaganda, and feel highly motivated to help the world evolve out from under itself…
I admire them…. and wish everyone was awake and aware as ron paul supporters….
It is quite amazing how much buzz this man has created online, and in the “real” world because of the fervor of his supporters. I’ve been staring at a sign stuck in the ground on my route to work for the past 6 months, touting the “Ron Paul Revolution” slogan/website. Not enough to get me to check it out, however, just the opposite. I find it all quite irritating, kind of like someone trying to force their opinion down my throat.
I always said I’d vote for John McCain if he ran for President, after the statements he made after 9/11. My favorite, McCain speaking to those responsible for the 9/11 attacks: “God may show you mercy. We will not.”
Many voters don’t blog and some don’t have email. They are the ones untouched by the spammers. Of those who are touched it doesn’t take long to recognize the spam and delete without opening the message. No one likes a pest and the more pestered people feel the less likely they are to go with a candidate. Keep pestering voters and the Ron Paul people will defeat their purpose of getting the word out about their candidate cheaply. They have to do it cheaply as Paul doesn’t have the funds to wage the kind of campaign the others can. People don’t like to back what they see as a loser and so Ron Paul isn’t likely to get huge donations from big corporate donors as the front runners of both parties get.
I think Ron Paul supporters do not realize just what a president CAN and CANNOT do while in office and what and who must agree to their desires. It just isn’t going to be a quick fix for what is the matter with America these days. Ron Paul and his supporters think they, and THEY ALONE can accomplish the agenda for which he seems famous for. As for a true American hero in John McCain – that isn’t anymore true of him than of others who fought in Vietnam or Desert Storm or what other conflict America seems to get itself into.
What we have is a country on the verge of collapse and very few allies with which they want and can help. We buy 3/4 of our oil from other countries and we haven’t a clue as to how to lower our dependence on foreign oil. Don’t get me wrong – we have plenty of our own, but we aren’t using it or pumping it for our own needs. If we suddenly stopped buying foreign oil, I believe it wouldn’t take too long for the countries that have a lot of oil to come to the bargaining table.
America seems to think that we are invincible – but in reality, we are not. No one candidate can fix the problems we have and for them or their supporters is ludicrous.
