Ideas for a charity fundraiser?

I am looking for ideas for fundraisers for my daughter’s charity. I’ve already sent out press releases to local newpapers and new channels. I’ve also set up an email campaign and webpage for donations that goes directly to the charity. Does anyone have any other ideas besides a carwash or bake sale?

  1. You have to be careful about sending out email requests. In Illinois it is considered spaming. There are great ideas out there. My suggestion if you have the money is picking up a couple of books from amazon or Barnes and Noble in the used book section. Or just keep checking the internet. It doesn’t take much time. If you need more information please feel free to email me. Hope this helps.

  2. Try igive.com for an easy way to have part of what you spend anyway go to your cause.

DON’T do bake sales. You can make more money just getting the bakers to donate the price of the ingredients and save lots of time.

If party sales are big in your area, ask the Tupperware, Mary Kay, lingerie, Discovery Toys, etc. folks to do parties and give you the hostess part in cash.

  3. what about a garage sale? ask people to donate things they dont want! then give a dollar off certificate to each of the people who donate so they feel incline to check out the items on sale by other people!

  4. l Selling candy , lemonade, bottled water. throw a birthday party and in lew of gifts let the participants contribute money to charity. Place containers at the grocery stores where you shop frequently and collect money for your charity.

  5. 85% of all homes burn scented candles. Try using candles to raise funds.

  6. I have a risk-free fundraiser. You need NO money , I will provide you with all the materials you need to get started for free. If you’re interested, contact with “fundraiser” in the subject line. What is the charity for and how much do you need to raise?

    Great luck!

  7. Hey There!

Our company works exclusively with churches, schools and other non-profits. Our program is selling discount cards in your local community. We do all of the leg work and obtain your business sponsors, all you have to do is sell the cards. There are no up front fees and depending on how many cards your group sells, you keep up to 91% of the money raised. If you sell 1,000 cards you would keep $ 7,000. We have a very unique program and we even provide prizes to help motivate your group to sell cards. It really beats selling candy bars and only earning 50%.
