I Recieved An E-mail & Obama’s Camapign Manager Is Announcing Victory In Iowa. Do You Think This Is Accurate?

I wanted to be the first to share the news, whether this email finds you tonight or you’re reading this in the morning.

A few minutes ago, the Des Moines Register released its final poll of Iowa Democrats ahead of Thursday’s caucuses.

The headline: ‘Obama widens lead over Clinton.’

Here are the numbers:

Barack Obama 32%
Hillary Clinton 25%
John Edwards 24%

The details get even better. Here are a couple of quotes from the accompanying article in tomorrow morning’s paper:

“The findings mark the largest lead of any of the Democratic candidates in the Register’s poll all year, underscoring what has been a hard-fought battle among the three well-organized Iowa frontrunners.”

“Obama’s rise is the result in part of a dramatic influx of first-time caucusgoers, including a sizable bloc of political independents. Both groups prefer the Illinois senator….”

The momentum is ours in Iowa and across the country.

Now is the time to stand up and be a part of this historic moment.

Happy New Year,

David

  1. Could be! Hillary is fading fast! Even women won’t vote for her! And it’s obviously time for a BIG CHANGE in this country!

  2. The fix is in!

  3. Got a link? No? Go Away…

  4. I thought the Iowa caucus was not until January 3rd?
Last night when I went to bed, it was January 1st.
    Is it the 3rd already?

    I’d say it was SPAM.

  5. Umm. this is not a claim of victory. This is a GOTV ad. That means Get Out The Vote.

  6. yes… as a republican, he would be my first choice

  7. It’s an old Chicago tradition. Before the polls even closed in 1948, the Chicago Tribune ran a banner headline saying “DEWEY WINS.”

  8. That’s not an announcement of victory. It’s a prediction of victory. AKA, counting your chickens before they hatch. There is a difference.

  9. Victory can’t be claimed until the votes are in and counted. This is just “hype” and nothing more

  10. Here is the link for Massive Mann:

As an Iowa democrat, I like him and expect him to do well here. He seems to have a lot of support in my area.
